This article offers career-determining advice for marketing rookies and some reminders for veteran marketing VP’s.

In his article ‘ 4 Things You Should Never Say to the CEO’ posted at hotjobs by the speech writer of GE’s famous prior-CEO John Welsh, he points out some valuable advice for any corporate rising star or VP.

When you talk to a CEO or a CMO, the advice is the same. The four detrimental verbal mistakes he is alerting to are:

1. “I’ll have to get back to you on that.” You’re giving a presentation, but you didn’t do your homework properly. Welch fired one vice president who gave that answer several times during a presentation. Avoid this!

Solution: know your facts and don’t fold when challenged. Details can be important when they are of interest to a CEO.

2. Making fun of a corporate program. Some corporate initiatives lack lustre and depth, others never received a catchy title, or worse, receive an unfortunate title, that begs for fun making and jokes.

Solution:Don’t joke about any initiative. The CEO usually buys into initiatives to some degree and poking fun at them is poking fun at her. If you don’t value a certain initiative, keep your mouth shot!

3. Tell jokes at the beginning of a presentation.

Solution: don’t waste a CEO’s time and be serious about your subject matter. After all, it is a big deal that you get time from a CEO.

4. Answer back to a CEO: “That can’t be done.”

Solution: No matter how impossible the request from a CEO who wants something done, the right answer is: “Difficult, not impossible.

By Vera Lang

To build a strong brand with a loyal customer base, your business must create a complete chain of customer experiences with outcomes that your customers value and adore.

Repeat business is the most profitable business, and so all business should aspire to build customer loyalty. Customer loyalty is based on customer service experiences. These experiences are not merely at the point-of-sale or the exchange desk. Instead, they encompass the compete chain of customer experiences.

They start with the time when, where and how your customers hear about your brand, their first contact with your brand – which may be your website -. They extend all the way to a time that they receive a notification that their warranty is about to expire and that extended warranty is available to them. And beyond this, of course.

Strong branding is the result of this consistent delivery of customer experiences, through distribution and media channels. In these customer experiences, what is important is how your customer feels when they are in your brand presence. How do you manage this? What kind of service is needed?

There is my 4-part approach for loyalty- & brand-building by managing the complete customer experience:

<p align='right">

1. Manage Brand Loyalty and Customer Experiences From The Top.
Senior management should be responsible, not a service rep nor middle management. By putting the management of customer experiences in the hands of top management, a bird’s eye view can be applied encompassing the complete set of customer experiences. Furthermore, it gives a clear message to all that your business takes satisfying customer experiences seriously.

2. Complete Measurements Go Beyond Metrics.
Management is to set explicit brand value propositions plus guidelines for employees and channels to bring these value propositions alive. Monitoring click-through rates, conversion ratios or phone-time-on-hold metrics should be complemented with complete customer interaction review.

3. Detail Key Customer Scenarios through Research. Market segmentation can help in pinpointing what customers consider important outcomes of key scenarios. After all, not all customers have the same needs and wants. Detailed market research reveals what customers consider to be key-scenarios and what factors to get right in each scenario. You will find that this kind of market research will give your business an edge over competition that is not necessarily transparent to your customers.

4. Put Complete Customer Experience Management Protocols In Place. When performance metrics and evaluation results are not reflecting your intended brand value proposition, a process should be in place for prompt corrective action.

In Conclusion

Once you and your company have established both the leadership for and the appropriate means of managing and evaluating your Complete Customer Service Experience, you’re ready to actually tune the experience and so create customer loyalty. Loyalty results when customers feel understood and cared for. A strong brand shows business choices that foster loyalty. This article offers a path to successfully strengthening your brand.

Outsourcing is probably the most powerful internet marketing method. Marketers can outsource almost anything that is required to maintain or develop any web project. Outsourcing has become very popular in the past few years because of many ebooks and courses written on that topic. There are three major benefits of using outsourcing method in internet marketing which are saving time, ability to work on more than one project at a time, and making more money by producing more income streams.

Saving time is the most common reasons why internet marketers are searching for ways to outsource their projects. Many of them are so busy that it’s almost impossible to manage all their work. By outsourcing webmaster can concentrate on marketing their websites and enjoy their free time. Saving time is very important for any internet marketer. Being able to spend more time on getting links to their website or perfecting their pay per click campaigns is an important factor of success. Internet marketers also want to start new websites and move on to more profitable industries while monetizing their previous projects. By outsourcing their work they become more productive which results in success.

Ability to work on more than one project at a time is another factor why outsourcing proves itself as very effective method in internet marketing. By letting a highly qualified professional do webmaster’s work, he or she can concentrate on coming up with new ideas and projects. This way of marketing is very successful, but can be very expensive. If a marketer has the budget to outsource his work, he should definitely do it. The costs can range anywhere from $20 to $1000s per project. It’s something worth looking into, if you are looking for ability to do more than one project at a time.

Making more money by outsourcing internet marketer’s work is also one of the benefits of using this effective method. If a webmaster is able to save time and concentrate on other projects, he will have more income potential. If a webmaster is capable of doing more than one project at a time, it results in more income streams. As you can see outsourcing your internet work is very profitable if you know how to use it effectively.

Overall I highly recommend using outsourcing method to explode your online marketing business. There are many websites online like rentacoder.com or guru.com where you can hire a person to do your work for a fee. You can hire a programmer to write your software idea for you to sell. You could hire an article writer to constantly provide you with high quality content for your web pages. There are many other reasons to hire someone to outsource your work, but main thing is that this method is highly effective and produces results. By being able to save time, do more than one project at a time, and making more money, marketers accepted outsourcing as one of the major factors of internet marketing success.

Bundled outsourcing is popular among business people today. Most financial organizations have started including Information Technology Outsourcing or ITO and Business Process Outsourcing or BPO in their core business strategies. Processing and administration of loans are two reasons why many companies choose to outsource.

Saving Both Time And Money
Other examples of bundled outsourcing are super markets and many retail stores that provide financial services, loan, mortgage, saving and insurance services. These services provide credit and risk strategies to customers. They ensure that the company moves ahead at a very fast pace and in a cost effective manner. Companies that choose to build their own platform and processing everything themselves, spend more time and money in the process. Bundled outsourcing helps the company to keep the staff to a minimum leaving the handling of loans and the legal process associated with them to professionals.

Arrangements and Factors Affecting Bundled Outsourcing
You should seriously consider making arrangements regarding bundled outsourcing. This kind of transaction requires the involvement of top executives of both business and information technology. These decisions require support from senior level management, so that the transactions may take place smoothly. Many of the top-level executives try to influence the process just to safeguard their own business interests and that is often the nature of business. Governance remains a major factor that affects the bundled outsourcing. The question here is whether the governance standards should be allowed to influence the decision of bundled outsourcing or should the bundled outsourcing be given the priority by making changes in the governance standards.

People Are Coming Up With Innovative Ideas
If you move ahead cautiously and have the ability to overcome the hurdles, then it is possible to gain major advantages by combining business process outsourcing and IT outsourcing. Some companies still have fears when they think about bundled outsourcing. However, the cutthroat competition in the businesses today has made outsourcing an important tool. Companies are devising innovative methods in this field. Some of the companies have outsourced both IT functions and selected business processes to service providers. They believe that this will help them in concentrating more on the core issues and adding values to the products.

Importance Of Bundled Outsourcing To The Software Industry
Bundled outsourcing is the foundation on which the software industry rests. In an industry as complex as the software industry, many facets of the manufacturing of products must be handled outside of the scope of one particular company. This results in a long line of different outsourcing relationships from conception to marketing and finally into the hands of the consumer.

In recent years, outsourcing of business software solutions has gained much importance. Whether it is a small business set up or a huge business corporation, the economic as well as competitive pressures involved in today’s dynamic business environment has made it imperative for the business firms of all sizes to concentrate on their core business competencies.

Nowadays, a variety of packaged software solutions are readily available in the market. But, the requirements of the business firms vary according to the nature of the business, which in turn reflect the business software. Here comes the importance of outsourcing of business software solutions.

Outsourcing of business software simply refers to the practice in which companies hand over their business software needs to a third party professional or an IT consulting firm, which is mostly located in an offshore location. However, outsourcing not just means offshore. Nowadays, near shore outsourcing is also available. Business software outsourcing is an excellent alternative for those business organizations looking for cost-efficiency and competitiveness.

Benefits derived from business software outsourcing are endless. A key benefit of this process is that it provides access to talented as well as experienced team. Another prime benefit is that outsourcing provides access to most sophisticated technology. Technology is now changing at lightening speed, which in turn has made difficult for most of the companies to remain current with the latest technological trends.

Since outsourcing firms and experts keep abreast with the latest technology and trends in software development, it enables the companies to acquire the best in the industry. Outsourcing benefits also include considerable reduction in HR cost. It would be a chaotic as well as expensive procedure to hire an expert for the development of business software. But, through outsourcing, HR expenses are limited to the duration of a particular project.

Other absolute advantages of outsourcing are controlled project expenses, enhanced capabilities for project management, improved efficiency in allocation of works to in-house staff, and timely completion and implementation of the project. Above all, the fee or remuneration charged by these outsourcing firms is exceptionally low. All these have contributed for the increased demand for contracting of software development to third party firms.

However, through the outsourcing of business software solutions, not only companies are benefited but also the outsourcing firms. As business outsourcing works are mostly handed over to third world nations, it provides employment opportunities to a large number of people.

Among the leading destinations where most of the business software works are outsourced are New Zealand, Romania, China, India, and some of the eastern European nations. East Asian nations have also now become one of the hot beds for outsourcing business software solutions. Many of these nations boast of a larger English speaking population.

Business software is simply a set of software programs that have been developed to enhance as well as measure the productivity of a business firm. The works in connection with outsourcing of business software solutions include a full range of services, from rendering a single point of accountability to support speedy return on low cost of ownership. Mostly, the services offered with regard to development of business software cover analysis of nature and requirements of your business, business consulting, software development, and maintenance as well as testing of software applications.

On the basis of the requirements of the firm, business software services are categorized as per the size of the business firms, such as, small, medium, and large matrix. In the case of small business set ups, business software may be usually in the form of accounting software.

Business software for medium size business units primarily include a broad range of software applications such as accounting software, HR software, shopping cart software, and groupware software applications. When comes to large matrix firms, it mostly cover software applications for business firms demanding high technological expertise in the arenas of business resource planning, business content management, business process management, and management of product lifecycle.

Today, there is a plethora of outsourcing firms, both offshore and near shore firms, to render bespoke solutions for the development of business software. Many of the IT consulting firms maintain a section exclusively to cater to the requirements of outsourced business software works. Majority of these firms also provide services for the maintenance of software after its completion as well as implementation. Some of them even provide this service absolutely for free. No matter if you are urgently in need of some kind of software for your business needs, there are certain firms which can customize packaged software according to your specifications.

Copyright © 2007 Hirini Reedy

Many internet entrepreneurs need to often stop and reflect on their results. A bit like an engineer checking your energy circuits. Finding where the most flow and resistance occurs. Replenishing your batteries so that you have more energy to input into your internet marketing. So take some time now to rest and ask the question, “what is my energy level right now?” If your eyes, neck and brain ache then it is time to replenish your batteries. Get up, walk and stretch your body. Yet what if you are feeling disillusioned? Spending long hours on the internet but still lacking results. You write great salescopy but still no sales. You need to look at the energy vibrations you are subconsciously sending out.

Here are some ways to input more energy into your internet marketing efforts.

1. Get Rid Of The Mosquito Mind

The mosquito mind is the annoying negative mindset that we all have. It whines and bites when we are uncertain, scared and frustrated. Being bitten once by a mosquito is OK. Same with a negative thought. Yet being bitten all night by a mosquito makes you grumpy and tired. Same with continual negative thinking. It drains you and makes you grumpy. So it is time to swat that annoying mosquito and rub on repellent. So when you feel a negative thought start to bite, just give your forehead a good slap. It will help get rid of the whining negative thought.

2. Reverse The Energy Polarity.

We can transform negative actions by reversing their polarity. Find their positive equivalents. Everything in nature has a negative and positive polarity that creates both balance and flow. Find the positive equivalents in your life negatives. Here is an example based around two work negatives relating to a struggling internet entrepreneur.

Negative1:

My desk is a mess and I cannot find important documents. I stress out.

Positive Reversal

My work space is organised with a good filing system that I enjoy using.

Negative2:

Worried about paying bills, always struggling to keep ahead.

Positive Reversal.

My bills are easily paid on time. I enjoy peace of mind.

By adding these positives together, we start to create a positive energy flow around workspace and money. For example, Positive1 + Positive2 = “a organised workspace with a good filing system I enjoy using. My bills are easily paid on time. I enjoy peace of mind”. This looks more exciting then focusing on the negative equivalents. This positive statement forms part of your new desired outcome. It adds voltage to your energy levels.

3. Programme Your Subconscious With Positive Outcomes.

Get very clear on your desired outcome first. Describe it. Picture it. Fill in the details. Then instruct your subconscious mind to find ways to manifest this desired outcome. For example: “My desired outcome is to have an organised workspace with a good filing system I enjoy. My bills are easily paid on time and I enjoy peace of mind. Subconscious mind, find me ways to fulfil this desire. Thank you”. Then just carry on with the rest of your day. Your mind will start to work behind the scenes to fulfil your order.

So start making a list of all your negatives. Find their positive equivalents. Then start to create business changes based around these positives. Become the change you desire.
